The company Icardi was born in 1914 in Castiglione Tinella, a borderland between two famous viticulural “ terrior”: Langa and Monferrano. The Icardis were farmers ever since; in the early 60s Cav.Pierino started making wine from his own grapes, instead of selling them to the industry.

That was the beginning of a constant commitment and inclination towards quality. His children, Claudio and Maria Grazia, share the same ideals. Claudio, enologist, has developped his father’s idea by extending his estate to its present surface: in the whole 75 hectars, some of them situated around his historical company and the rest on those hills of Langa and Monferrato, where the vocation of the ground encourages the quality of wines.

Claudios’s sister, Maria Grazia, cooperates with him: she work in the cellar and she attends to sales management. They have great care of the vineyards: for this reason, they drastically reduced the production per hectar, in order to respect the natural vegetative cycle of the vineyard.These are the conditions to make wines with a higher concentration and a great taste. Thanks to all these kinds of grapes, the cellar ICARDI can offer its customers a wide variety of wines, both red and white, ranging over all the enological panorama of South Piedmont.
